IYRA Announces Level 200 Coaches Clinic

In preparation for the 2015 Spring Season, the illinois Youth Rugby Association (IYRA) has scheduled a Level 200 Coaches Clinic to be held on Saturday, 11/8/2014 at Luther North College Prep – 5700 West Berteau Avenue, Chicago, IL 60634.

The Luther North facility provides adequate classroom space as well as indoor and outdoor demonstration space. Our hope is that we can get this Clinic complete before winter in Chicago arrives.
As of 8/31/14, USA Rugby requires every contact team to have at least one Level 200 certified coach for the team to be considered in compliance. This course is one of the requirements of Level 200 certification and tends to be the most difficult to complete because it is the only component where in-person attendance is required. All other components are self-managed. So, please plan ahead and fulfill this requirement early before it becomes a fire-drill and/or requires you to travel to another state to complete.
Note that IYRA will not sponsor another course prior to the 2015 spring season, so don’t wait!
